His love for BBQ began in 1994 at his first job in a BBQ restaurant, where he fell in love with the art of slow-smoked, flavorful cooking. Over the years, he has skillfully combined his culinary expertise with leadership experience gained through careers in mortgages, politics, and public speaking, elevating Dyvine BBQ In Motion into a trusted and beloved brand.

Chef Derrick’s educational background enhances his approach to running a thriving catering business. He holds:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management
  • Associate of Arts in Culinary Arts
